Mine are going out this weekend, they're thoroughly hardened off and would have gone out last week but I ran out of time!

Ah, the age old question... It is possible to have a late frost in May which will kill them - but they'll probably be fine!

Plant out most but keep a few back as spares for a couple of weeks just in case could be a good middle solution.

I've had one outside for a week (one plant from a friend). But it depends where you are based. "Cast not a clout til May is out" could translate to "plant not a courgette out til May is out"?!

Mine have been out a fortnight now and are thriving. South of England. I hardened them off for a few days first by leaving them outside in their little pots, which also tends to slow them down a bit.
