I planted my David Austin Sackler/Delaney rose on a slope to go over a fence, is it doomed?

Just seen on the website that may not be a good idea. Planted it 2 weeks ago so probably can’t move it. Really wanted it there.😩

What is wrong with a slope? I have never heard this, so long as you have the right soil/aspect.
