Too late to move my strawberry plants?

Gardening newbie here…. We have some strawberry plants in our garden but they are not quite in the right place. Ideally I’d move them to another spot, but is that do-able at this time of year or have I missed the window to move them? Grateful for advice from those who have more experience than me!

It depends on if you want to delay the fruit or not. I'm just about to move some but as they are actually in someone else's garden under their hedge, suckers from those unde rmy hedge [we do their lawn, they aren't back until September so nobody will benefit] so those are worth it to me. But others that are fruiting on my own plot won't be moved until after they are harvested. Also, how many have to got, if it is hundreds then you are not going to miss much if you move them now but if it is 3 then you will notice the delay a bit more.

Go ahead and move them. Take as much soil with the plant as you can and water well. It is no different to planting out a potted strawberry that you bought at the garden centre at this time of year.

Thanks both. You’ve given me the confidence to give it a go!
