Sapling identification help please?

Does anyone know what this sapling is or could be please? Currently about 3 feet tall. East of England and self-seeded but nothing similar in the area? Thank you.

Looks like a member of the salix family to me (willow)

It looks like a goat willow to me... I'd kill it now: they self-seed like nothing on earth.
