To continue into Spring 2022.

Unfortunately, I am not sure how many pictures I will be able to supply this year . Some builders are in building an extension for me .
I might have to live off all your lovely photos. Keep them coming!💐

Cute.

Aah! I love moles. We managed to save one from the neighbour's cat once. How he got hold of that I just don't know! He was huge! We picked him up with a blanket and put him in a safe grassy area and he instantly buried himself underground!

applecatchers36 · 30/03/2023 19:06

Sweet pea your back garden is so vibrant 😍..awash with those wonderful purple flowers. The Azelea looks like it's floating above the river!

Robin233 · 30/03/2023 19:29

@Sweetpea1532
Those azaleas are absolutely amazingly.
I got some small ones on line.
They were perfectly healthy when I planted them ...........

Sweetpea1532 · 01/04/2023 07:29

Thank you@BooseysMom @applecatchers36 They are ice plant succulents. I'm amazed at their colour every time I look at them @Robin233 and @applecatchers36 thank you, Im glad you like them. The azaleas have been so healthy and full this year. I'm going to visit there on Sunday so I hope they are still in bloom
Apple, they practically are floating over the river...it is a miracle they survived the minus 13 degree C temperatures over the Christmas holiday...the bank of the river was frozen then and here only 3 months later they are not only surviving but blooming like crazy.😀.The peachtrees and blueberry bushes were blooming also.

WobblyLondoner · 01/04/2023 08:36

@Sweetpea1532 that's quite the slope! Love the punchy pink. Are those aloes further up - amazing! I've got a few in my house but they are just getting too big - every time DP walks past I worry he'll knock it over (he's a bit clumsy, bless him!). But I don't think they would survive outside here:

AnneKipankitoo · 01/04/2023 09:18

Yes. @Sweetpea1532 has a very steep sided garden. It’s amazing what she has done with it.

Aww, thank you@AnneKipankitoo .
Last week I had to climb up the upper slope to display a fake dead crow up there. 😂..they are supposed to make the 9 zillion bothersome crows go away. I wouldn't mind them so much if the crows didn't all gain up on a pair of hawks trying to build a nest. Bad crows! The hawks keep those rotten squirrels under control.
Speaking of squirrels...they have wreaked havoc all over because of all the rain we've been having...they think I'm the one making all the water get into their burrows with another of my baptismal ceremonies 🙄

@WobblyLondoner , The aloe looking plants are agave. They maybe a member of the aloe family, though.
I have a bit of a clumsy DH, too😅 bless him
I can't even put out a rug or else he trips over it..to be fair, he does wear a size 47 shoe🛶😅.
Yes, you are probably right about putting your aloe outside..since succulents store all their moisture in their leaves, it's very easy for them to be affected by a freeze.

My cherry blossom is absolutely buzzing with pollinators. It's such a cheerful sight when I walk out into my back garden.

Beautiful @ThreeRingCircus . Blue tits are nibbling the blossom off our cherry trees. Little vandals!

Sweetpea1532 · 07/04/2023 19:04

@AnneKipankitoo @ThreeRingCircus when yall say cherry blossoms, does that mean yall have trees that actually produce cherries? Or just ornamental trees?
Our nation's capital is known for its cherry blossoms trees...gorgeous!

AnneKipankitoo · 07/04/2023 19:52

Mine is ornamental too. Probably safer that way as I absolutely love cherries and would definitely eat all of them if it fruited 😂🍒
