Plant, bulb? When do you plant bulbs and when are they sold?

They aren’t bulbs so I don’t think you can buy them in a dry form like that. I once bought seeds (from the botanic garden at Ventnor) but they didn’t come up. I think they are mostly sold as small plants in pots in spring and summer.

Pretty sure I planted bulbs a long time ago, you can buy agapanthus bulbs but don’t know when it which are best.

It seems you can order them bare-rooted and plant in spring.

We did bring an evergreen variety home bare rooted from a February holiday once and they grew well in a pot.

You can plant Agapanthus bulbs in the spring. I grow mine in pots so I can make sure they’re in the sunniest position and well watered, which they like. After flowering I make sure I continue feeding them into autumn. I protect them from frost when they die down in winter.

They are in Wilkos now. £2 per bulb.
