Roses help!

Ordered up some roses which have been delivered early and someone has “helpfully “ put them in water. Ground is far too cold to plant out just now so what can I do to save them!

Plant them in a pot and wrap the pot/the plant in fleece?

Unless the ground was frozen solid they should be fine.

Feed and mulch!

Are they bare root or potted? If you're in the UK,yes, unless the ground is frozen, just heel them in somewhere for the time being. Don't feed them now,you don't want "soft growth" with cold weather possible.

Roses are really hardy, unless the ground is frozen solid and it’s impossible to plant them get them in the ground asap so they can start putting down their roots for summer.
