How much would you expect to pay to prune three small trees?

What do you mean by small - how tall are they, and what variety?

Immature younger trees, probably about £50 all in. For mature apple trees in need of expert renovation pruning to rejuvenate them and produce more fruit, several hundred. And for that you would need a proper fruit tree expert, not a chainsaw-wielding garden maintenance person.

Ummmm, 10ft isn't insignificant for pruning work- it is likely to involve ladders to see to cut accurately, which usually means two people, and more insurance costs. As @caranations says, several hundred to get someone who has a clue....
