Can anyone tell me how best to look after my hydrangea?

Reading online gives me different suggestions!

i’ve had several in the past. lace caps i prune to the first bud in march. lime light i do nothing and it’s beautiful every year. mop heads i leave as the spent flower heads fall off anyway and it seems if i mess about with them too much they don’t look good !
