Is there not enough year round interest for the front?

Mine had to be moved to the back because it grew really tall. Once the flowers have gone it's just green leaves and it did look rather untidy.

I thought I had bought Sarah Bernhardt but I'm pretty sure I have Bowl of Beauty. It seems to like it at the back and does get a lot of sun from early morning even in the winter.

Mine are to the side and middle. A red frilly one that came with the house, and Scarlet O'Hara, which is gorgeous.

I'm going to move mine. It's at the back but there's a bigger bush in front so it struggles for sun/light

In the middle:

Rubra, Sarah B, Kelways Glorious, Philippe Rivoire and another white one I'd forgotten the name of Blush

They get tall but appreciate a clear shot of the sun. I used things like aquilegia to cover the stalks once they start to look a bit tatty.

I love em!

I have mine mostly in the middle; when they finish flowering other things soon fill in. I cut leaves off as soon as they look tatty.
