Just wondering, if anyone has one of these trees in their garden, does it still have its leaves? I was planning on getting one particularly for its autumn colour but my Mum's has lost all its leaves already.

Mine’s lost it’s leaves. But it had the usual autumn display, just a bit earlier. Autumn isn’t a synchronised thing. Sorbus leaves dropped a while ago, at the moment deciduous Euonymus, cherry, japanese maple and Fothergilla are doing their stuff, last of all will be the mulberry which turns into a golden globe looking as if it’s lit up from within.

Thank you. I am trying to synchronise things though. It's the hardest part of garden planning! Yours sounds lovely and lots to look forward to. I will still get the amelanchier just won't position it where I was thinking. Maybe an Acer 'October Glory' is what I need.

most of the leaves gone on mine too. Its my favourite tree though.

Mine has lost a third of its leaves I think, judging by the ground underneath. It still has enough red leaves on it to look pretty though, but I don't see that lasting much longer. My Himalayan birch still has leaves which have only just started to go bronze.

Have 4 and they all still have their leaves. I have a very sheltered garden in London, which extends the season of everything,

For a beautiful all round tree, I recommend Acer Griseum , also known as Snake Bark Acer. This is mine.

it was taken in November, this year it is still completely green.

That should be paper bark, not snake bark

I am in Scotland and they are always one of the first to lose their leaves, whereas my liriodendron, maples and azeleas still have leaves and colour.

London here and ours has lost about half its leaves. The winter flowering cherry still has all its leaves and they are only just starting to change colour.
