Will rambling rose be okay, part dug out?

I started digging up a rose to move it, but had to leave it as I had a family emergency. A lot of root is exposed, I won’t be able to finish it today as I doubt I’ll be back before it gets dark. Will it be okay until tomorrow? Is there anything I should do when I get back to protect it overnight (besides burying the roots again🤞as my back won’t take it if I have to dig it all out again!)

I should think so, they send bare root roses through the post so a day exposed I would think is ok.
