Is this fungus damaging the plant?

A few weeks ago I bought 3 string of hearts plants online, all from the same place. They have all now developed this fungus. I have several other houseplants and they don’t have this fungus, so I’m guessing there were spores of it in the soil with the plants when they arrived.

I’m planning to repot the plants and change as much of the soil as possible, but obviously it won’t be possible to change all of it, so presumably I won’t be able to get rid of the fungus.

Do you think the fungus could harm my plants? They all have some withered ends - could the fungus be causing this?

Also, could fungus spores spread through the air to my other plants, in which case should I throw away the new plants?

Thanks for any advice on this!

Plants and fungi live quite happily alongside one another in nature, and the symbiotic relationship can be positively beneficial. Nothing to worry about, I don't think. Try not to keep the soil too soggy though.
