Care advice for older apple trees- fertiliser or anything?

I always wonder how trees just give and give apples as we never put manure or anything back on ours and I would like to check ours aren’t deficient in anything (have two medium sized and v elderly looking trees)

I’ve noticed we don’t have that many apples and also that several are rotten on the tree which I guess could be anything but is there any garden routine which is good for older trees to thrive?

Many thanks

A good prune is essential to keep everything in working order.

Heres a guide..
