Will this golden Carex recover?

For reasons unknown, I ordered a few plants online (actually, I couldn't face the meandering queues at the local garden centre) - they took 3 weeks to be dispatched, and were then in transit in a taped up box for 4-5 days before I received them.

The box was smashed to pieces and the nice gold grass I bought for my funnel pot looks like this. I'll ask Gardening Express for a refund I think, but the question is, will it come back? About half of the leaves are brown and it looks pretty sick. Sad

Ordinary carex is pretty tough so there's a fair chance though it might take a while. I guess I'd soak and then drain it, and cut out all the brown or damaged leaves, put it in a pot somewhere unobtrusive and wait and see.

Thanks! Guess I'll be going to the garden centre after all, to find something to put in the pot in the front garden that doesn't look like it's been chewed...
