I want to grow a ligustrum as a tree in the corner of my garden. I want it for the fragrant flowers, as much as anything else. Privet hedges are in blossom right now, but so is my jasmine. And before the jasmine the philadelphus flowers. I don't really want the fragrance of the ligustrum to overwhelm them or be overwhelmed by them.
Is there a ligustrum that flowers rather later in the summer?
