Good plant to grow in a pot up a partly shady wall

Any suggestions?
I’m struggling to find a plant that will grow well in a pot/ container up a shady (mostly) wall. Anyone have any success stories of what might work?

Clematis montana? It's hardly, doesn't mind partial shade and has a very long flowering period.
