My Mum has sent some some fairly hazy photos of a mystery plant in her garden. It has furry, foxglove leaves. I think it is a yellow delphinium - am I right?

It is verbascum OP, I’m unaware of there being a yellow delphinium (if there’s one I want one too!)

I think it might be a verbascum

Verbascum

bunnybuggs · 28/06/2021 17:18

it is a verbascum (or mullein) - I think delphiniums are invariably more or less 'delphinium blue'.

DeepNorthFarmGardening · 28/06/2021 17:21

Regardless of it being yellow rather than blue, the leaves are also completely wrong.,

I’d thought delphiniums always had to be blue but I know of some that are pink and found these yellow ones being sold:

Another verbascum confirmation from me.

Verbascum thapsus, to be specific.
