It’s woven trellis. Have put some annual sweet peas in for now but it needs softening.

If something will tolerate a pot that would be great.
Here’s a pic

Here!

Thank you for suggestions.
It’s at the back we want it, so scented would be great, but we’ll also see it from the back.....

Jasmine?

Sorry can’t see photo? Are you after something evergreen?

Redsquirrel5 · 16/06/2021 21:16

Honeysuckle, clematis, Passion flower or wisteria.

Evergreen would be good because we’ll be looking at the back of it from kitchen all year, but wanting to smell it in summer

Star jasmine is evergreen and the flowers smell divine.

I bought a variegated star jasmine in spring. It was looking a little sad after we first put it in but it's starting to send out a few new shoots. It seems to be fairly slow growing though that might be because it's growing roots and flowering abundantly on the existing growth. I saw a much more established plant in a cemetery last weekend and it was absolutely beautiful. About 2m by 2m and so dense you couldn't see the wall behind it.

ooh I'm excited about star jasmine now!

thank you - something to look forward to.
