Foxes seem to like rooting around my window boxes at night, what can I do?

This morning they left a big 💩.

Are there any plants they not keen on, Which will keep them away?

It was not a nice sight this morning coming out the front door with little one 🙄

Thanks!

You could get one of the sonic deterrents, although they are awful to passers-by and anyone who can hear them so use responsibly. I ended up sneaking up the road to turn off my neighbours which was in their front garden as it was so piercing every time someone walked past.

I've heard that you can boil the hottest chilli peppers you can find and quite a few cloves of garlic, wait for it to cool and then water the plants with it. Spread the veg around the boxes too for maximum effect. Foxes (and cats) don't like the smell.

We had a Fox/badger problem at one point.
I bought a few bags of those tiny hot chillies, chopped them up in the blender and sprinkled them on the flowerbed. Seemed to work instantly.

Thank you. I was reading today about garlic and chillies, and have done just that this evening, sprinkled and sprayed the area. Hopefully tomorrow there will be no mess.

Thanks again. Smile
