Edging shears for lawn - are any of them easy to use without the benefit of too much strength?

Just want some edging shears that aren't too heavy and don't require mammoth strength. Do they exist?

I did a load with these earlier. So much easier than the big two-handed type

If you don't mind hands and knees scissors work just fine!

I've always found the L-shaped long-handled ones are fine - you get more leverage due to the length of the handles, and good quality ones should be sharp. My dad used to go round nearly every day with his he used to make me do it it only took a couple of minutes.

Yes... after various unsatisfactory shears, I bought a cheap pair of large kitchen scissors which are suiting me very well. I like to do the edge kneeling so I can weed and pull out clumps of grass if they're starting to invade the borders,

We have a battery strimmer/edger (qualcast I think) which is actually really handy. Does the edges super-quick, and it's good to have a light strimmer as garden is too small to warrant having a proper petrol one.

Am going to try the kitchen scissors option first. Maybe something electrical if they don't snip as effectively as I hope.

Last year I invested in a battery strimmer that has replaceable blades rather than a strimmer cord. Makes edging a quick and easy job plus I can use it as a weed whacked if needed.

Robert dyas does a lightweight telescopic set of edging shears, so you can adjust the length easily and they are very light. I’ve found them easy to use.
