Where to buy terracotta pots

Evening all, trying my best to find some terracotta pots without having to remortgage the house.
Has anyone found anywhere to buy from recently that they thought were good value.
Thanks

Have you tried looking for anywhere that do seconds? There’s a little place near me that do and the prices are much cheaper. All really good condition. You could google see if anything comes up? I’m in Kent if you’re anywhere close?

I o some from Crocus called Verona, which I think re good for the price

I got some from IKEA today, very reasonably priced. Not sure of frost proof though.

Garden Centre?

Slightlydustcovered · 24/05/2021 23:12

Thanks, will look up seconds. Most the pots in our local garden centers are pretty expensive but not fully frost proof so I would rather find something better. Will check IKEA too.
Thanks

B&M had them last week.

B and M have them at very cheap prices. I don’t know if they are frost proof . Putting Dahlias in mine though so will put them in the shed overwinter when I dig up the tubers.
(I know you don’t have to dig up up tubers, and I’m in the south, but I think slugs will get the dahlias if I don’t start them off indoors.)

I guess the frost proof thing depends on what’s going in them, where you are in the country etc. I’m in the south and moving my pots right next to my house pretty much avoids all frosts. Might this be an option? Pots are so ££!

Wilko or b and q for just standard plain pots.

Facebook marketplace or gumtree normally have lots, and I like the vintage look second hand ones have.

whatisthisinhere · 25/05/2021 17:02

I never find any on my local gumtree and people selling on FB usually want ££.

MrsJamin · 25/05/2021 18:54

Yeah second hand ones seem expensive! I was looking at the ikea ones, they'd be good if they were frost proof.

I bought two for £8 from Morrisons. Decent size too, big enough for a new rose bush.

I order online from www.wmpot.co.uk/
