Ranuculus advice on growing ..

I bought several from our local Morrisons .Based my decision on
-carefully considered criteria- ,gosh aren't they pretty .

I've planted them in some v large planters on my forecourt but now in my usual fashion of research after the action I've read that they don't like afternoon sun and heat .Which is what they will have in current position .

Anyone experienced in growing these lovely flowers who has advice on how to nurture ?

I have these too from Morrisons.
Lovely hot pink ones.

One pack is growing in sandy soil in moderate sunlight and the other pack is growing behind my pond in ‘clumpier’ clay soil and more shaded.

Both packs are doing great but the ones in the sunnier position in sandy soil are doing the best.

I bought some of the hot pink ones too, based largely on them being cheap for a flower I really like. Mine are either side of steps, in fairly heavy clay soil. One side drains better than the other and they're in partial shade. They have all flowered and have buds coming through. They really need some warmth now.
