Plant ID - bracken or a different type of fern?

Is this bracken or another type of fern? I dug it up from a friend’s land (growing wild in a shaded area by a steam) to put in my shady border.
Yes, I had permission!
Now I’m starting to think it might be an invasive type of bracken and the sort of thing I wouldn’t want in my little garden!
Any ideas?

I don’t think it’s bracken, possibly one of the Dryopteris species, difficult to say from your photo, and I’m no expert on ferns! I have something similar growing at the back of a raised bed, which found its own way there.

I remember being told on school nature walks that 'bracken has branches, and ferns have fronds', if that's any help!

Thank you 🙏 I can’t seem to get a clearer photo of it, but this might help. It isn’t a soft fern. It feels quite woody.
