Novice just planted loads of violas, pansies, primula and worrying they’ll die.

After the lovely hot weather this week I bought loads of flowers and planted them in my garden.
I’ve now seen that it will reach -3 on Tuesday night. On the packet it says they can stand up to -5 temperatures. Do you think they’ll be okay? Is there anything I can do aside from digging them all up and putting them in my house?
Thank you!

They should be ok, if they’ve been outside at the garden centre. My pansies have been outside since the Autumn. If your really worried you could put a layer of news paper on them, weighted down by stones. This is presuming you’ve not got any horticultural fleece.

I’ve had pansies outside all winter. They’re tough little things. You should be fine.

Thanks so much, I’ll try that! Xx
