Can you suggest a water plant for my trough please?

I have a largish trough with water spout from the wall behind and would like a plant in it. So

Deepish water (although could stand on a brick)
Moving water ..think this rules out water lilies?
Shade.

Any ideas much appreciated.

Water forget-me-not, Myosotis scopioides. Floats, so no need to stand on brick. Deep blue flowers all summer. Then something upright (Iris? Flowering rush?) as contrast.

Just noticed the shade - the iris and flowering rush wouldn't like that. There's a nice rush with tiger stripes of yellow and green - that would do OK in shade.
