I'm going to plant a bag of daffodil and tulip bulbs this week.

What do you think? Will they have any chance?

I got given a bag of mixed bulbs and I forgot all about them.
They look ok. I'm in East Anglia so just need the ground to defrost a bit. Forecast is promising for the coming week.

They'll just be late, or not follow this year, won't they?
Daffs are already up, and some in flower around here (also East Anglia). Haven't noticed any tulips.
How about in pots, maybe indoors, if the ground doesn't defrost enough.

Stick them in the freezer for a couple of nights first

I think they might not flower this year, especially the daffodils. The tulips might flower but late.

My pretty novice understanding is that they’re better in the ground now than left until the autumn and as long as the bulbs aren’t soft/mouldy they should grow although you might not get any flowers this year.
