Recommend a good online gardening shop?

I’m looking to do some very modest gardening - planting some bulbs for next year and buying some hellebore to put in window boxes.

Can anyone recommend a good online place to buy this kind of thing? There’s so much choice and I know nothing at all so I don’t want to end up with rubbish!

Thanks

This is a niche answer to part of your question, rather than covering it all, but this year I have had some of the healthiest plants I've ever bought from specialist growers - nice to support the small nurseries and more choice than you normally get elsewhere:

Back to your question ... I have had fabulous hellebores from www.twelvenunns.co.uk/nursery/

That sounds great, thank you!

And definitely up for small nursery recommendations Smile

I ordered 90 Venetian tulips from the Sarah Raven website which I planted last week. Looking forward to the blooms in spring..Smile

Sarah Raven lovely for bulbs (well, for all things), but jaysus their delivery system has still not recovered from the initial pandemic madness. Not sure I'd be happy ordering anything I want to get planted from them at the moment.

Suttons seeds has been very good for me.

I bought some hellebores (mixed hybrids) from Twelve Nunns a few months back and they look pretty good. Not sure if they will bloom this winter, though. Helleborus niger (Christmas rose) you can buy in lots of places, OP- JParker should be fine for that and bulbs. I bought their alpine collection in Sept and it was surprisingly good quality, with good root systems.
