Is that a Dracaena? If so I have found this quite a hard plant to look after myself! If you over water they can get root rot and the leaves do something similar to what is in your picture, underwater and the tips of the leaves go brown, they need misting apparently...I have two in this house that look like they aren’t going to make it Confused

@MellowMelly it is indeed a Dracaena! It looked so wonderful when I got it 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'll start misting in earnest....

Have a look at this and see if it helps. I wonder if your Dracaena is letting you know it’s been overwatered and might have root rot. It looks like I need to be brutal and cut off some of the roots on mine to save the plant Hmm

That is a great source of information-thank you! I'm wondering if the issue with mine is necrosis due to the additives in water-may start collecting rain water and then see if that improves things

Yes I think mine have necrosis aswell. Possibly from not using the right compost or the fluoride in the tap water. I’m going to use the water from my water butt and see if that helps. I’ve just looked at the roots on one and it looks like a little root rot too. I’m normally pretty good with house plants but these are definitely more fussy than I realised!

I have a draecena that’s gone a bit like this aswell.
Google says it’s either too much or too little water or fluoride and mineral poisoning from tap water.
