Recommendations for container plants - house going on the market by end of October

We are putting our house on the market soon. The back garden is lovely - large lawn, a couple of trees and lots healthy shrubs.

The front garden was paved over long before we moved in and we never got round to changing it. I’d like to have a few large containers to make it look less bare and more welcoming. Anything I could buy as an established shrub now would be great!

Thanks in advance.

Something evergreen like bay, holly standards etc, or skimmia would look nice. You could add some flowers and extra colour in other pots with trailing ivy mixed with cyclamen, winter pansies etc. Possibly not very innovative but easy to do and keep looking nice while you're having viewings.

Ornamental grasses/sedges. Looking their best at this time of year.

Oh I did a nice few pots for a late autumn house sale. Small golden conifer, pansies, cyclamen, some shrub with pink berries.

Just go round a garden centre and see what looks good.
