Plant/gardening gift idea for 90th birthday

It's my close relatives 90th birthday and sadly due to Covid I can't visit him in person, so a big party is out. He's an avid gardener and stills grows his own veg and enjoys many flowers too. Does anyone have any ideas for an amazing plant I can send by post? and any nursery/online shop ideas for where to buy from? I'm hoping for something that flowers at this time of year too. I'm thinking of maybe an azalea, although I sent him one a few years ago, and I usually send an orchid for his collection so may fall back on this but wanted something a bit more different/special to usual. Has anyone sent or received any brilliant plant gifts from anywhere, that arrived looking beautiful?

Orchids are a good call at this time of year. I have some growing in upside down Sky planters. Maybe he would like the novelty of one of those?

Growing things is half the fun of gardening. Maybe he would like a waxed amaryllis bulb or some forced paperwhite narcissus/hyacinth bulbs in bulb vases that will bloom for Christmas?

Thanks for your suggestions, do you have a link to the sky planters? I've not seen those, I wonder if Id be able to post one already planted from somewhere? Unusual bulbs could be a good idea, he already plants the usual ones, I will have a look.

If he collects orchids, does he have a jewel orchid, Ludisia Discolor?
They have interesting striped leaves with a velvet texture and grow in a wandering way. They flower in the winter months with delicate white spikes of flowers.

Thanks, he doesn't have that one, that could be a good idea.

Here is the website for the company that makes Sky planters @Mutabilis:

www.boskke.com

They are available on Amazon too.
