How to clear leylandi seeds off lawn

Hello all. I’m not a big gardener, so I’m hoping you might be able to help me! We have two awful leylandi trees in our garden, and yesterday our landlord sent someone round to lop the tops off them. They look worse now, but there’s less of them, so I guess that’s a good thing?? Anyway, the gardeners have left twigs and seeds all over the lawn, and I’ve tried to rake and brush them up, but there they still are. At this rate we’ll never be able to walk barefoot on the grass again. Any tips for cleaning them up? Or will they sink into the lawn over time (hopeful?!) Thanks for any advice.

That was a really stupid decision of your landlord.
Leylandii don’t regrow if you cut into dead wood so they’ll be stuck as they are now.
Landlord should have left them or removed them.

Not sure about the seeds, I didn’t even realise they did drop seeds!

Not very helpful really, I’d ask the landlords permission to remove them and plant something nicer in their place myself

Interesting, thanks for your reply. I think he’ll remove them when we leave, but they give us a tiny bit of privacy so I don’t want them out now. In the meantime, I’m hoping the seeds will sink into the lawn after a bit of rain...

Could you take out as much as you can and then run the lawn mower over what's left? That way it will be cut up and will sink away quicker - it will sink away eventually but the smaller the pieces the better.
