I noticed that my courgette and another plant has these little bugs on them - does anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them?

I would just squash them between finger and thumb. They have the advantage of being immobile, and in a dense cluster, so removing them manually can really keep them under control, They like the fresh young growth, so you know where to look for them
