Hi, we have a long raised bed backed with a brick wall, (about 1m x 10m) that has become very overgrown and tatty. It needs clearing, the crumbling trellises replaced and then replanting. I want a ‘proper’ gardener to do it, rather than our current guy who is good at maintaining the garden but doesn’t know anything about plants. I’ve never employed a landscaper before so I have no idea how much a job like that would cost.
Does anyone have experience of this sort of work, either professionally or as a consumer? How much would you expect a job like this (probably 2/3 days actual work) to cost? I’m in Greater London, within the M25 so I would imagine it will be at the expensive end of whatever the average cost would be. And is there anything I should be looking out for when people quote, any signs that would let me know if someone would be good?
