What trellis for Jasmine screen next to neighbours fence?

I want to plant Jasmine to create some privacy through the gaps in my neighbours fence.
They don’t want anything fixed to the fence so I can’t use wire or attach trellis. I don’t want to use a planter with trellis behind as it’s on a slope.
I am a new lockdown gardener and when searching online have spotted free standing metal trellis panels - could I push one of these into the ground next to a Jasmine and would this work?
Or, with wooden trellis panels do I need to fix these in the ground like fence panels - so creating a fence next to the fence? I don’t really want to give up space to do this...

You will need somthing really sturdy. I cut back my jasmine last year to replace the ageing trellis and since then th new trellis is almost covered

I'm not sure the metal push into the ground would be strong enough. I think fence posts either side of the trellis would be best

I think the jasmine would probably quickly pull the trellis over from it's own weight, they are very bushy. You could prune it to keep it small and prevent that but jasmine flowers from new growth so it wouldn't bloom. It might be better to use a smaller, less dense climber instead, like a clematis. You would need to choose one that has the right height and spread.

Something very strong out go for a gentler jasmine. We have a pink one which is not so sturdy, but also not such a strong perfume.

check which jasmine you're planting. Mine is growing very very slowly

I would grow it up through an obelisk - something like this

Yes, Bamaluz, I like the idea of an obelisk-thanks for the link
