Please help, this bug/larvae is decimating the garden. What is it please and how do I get rid of them?

Is it one of these? Second row from the bottom far right? Chaffer grub pupa?

They look like they could be but apparently mainly eat lawns. Having just read a bit about them, it's says they are found in soil. These have eaten the leaves and buds from a particular plant in our raised beds. Could it be the same thing?
