Why won't my cover fit my L shaped garden sofa

Bought an L shaped rattan sofa and cover.

The cover is 215 x 215 x 87 but it will not fit the sofa. Looked on amazon eBay etc and all the covers are 215 x 215 for this type of sofa.

One sofa is 171 and the other is 181 - the cover will not fit!

DP and I cannot understand what we are doing wrong.

171 and 181 makes 352..

The longest section of the L is 250cm on my right
The shortest is 181cm on my left

It's making my head hurt.

So then it must be the depth? The 87?

Did the cover come with the settee?

Surely you just answered your own question if the longest dimension on the sofa is 250 and your cover is 215..

If the sofa is 250 long and the longest length of the cover is 215 it wouldn’t fit.

I had this problem last year.
I gave up trying to get one to fit.
I ended up getting a massive square one and rearranging the chairs to try to resemble a circle.
Pulled it tight with a drawstring.

Because the sofas are joined together so the individual sofa sizes are overlapping, hence the 250cm? If the cover is 215cm it isn't going to fit a 250cm-long stretch.

Yes I think that’s what you’re doing wrong, it’s the end to end measurement either way that matters and if it’s 250 it’s going to be too big for a 215 long cover.

I (think) I have this exact furniture.
The l shape pulls apart into two sofas. We got two covers for them.

you maybe have to un L shape the furniture, shove them together and then cover it??

The cover came with the sofa. It's going back and we've swapped it for another cover.

For 2 hours I've been sucked into the garden sofa cover world and at one point I thought I was going mad.
