Garden path improving help!

I have an old, potholed, uneven and badly patched concrete path in my rented houses garden. I want to either hide or improve this - any ideas??

Anything other than re-laying the path isn't going to last, and you don't want to be spending money on something that isn't yours. I've seen a path made of pallets, presumably to hide a path such as yours, but I would imagine that they get slippery in the wet. Could you put low growing plants along the edges to distract attention from it?
