What can I grow in these long planter pots?

Hi all,

After our builders finished the decking, they kindly made some of these long planter pots out of the leftover wood.

I'd really like to grow something edible in them but unsure what kind of things would be ok in pots like these that are so shallow.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Strawberries!

They have them already started in Lots of supermarkets, you'll need to rig up a net to stop the birds eating them.

Salad leaves would work well too.

Or herbs.

Strawberries, lettuces, spring onions, radishes, celery, herbs, maybe even cherry tomatoes. Put some stakes in and you could do peas too. Loads of veggies grow well in pots and troughs.
