Can anyone tell me what's up with this?

I'm a very very new gardener. I'm hoping you more experienced folk would maybe offer some help. I planted a buddleia plant last year and it's grown well. Lots of new growth this year. In the past week the leaves have started to curl and go brown. Any idea? I have googled.
Thanks

It is probably leaf damage due to the weather we have had lately. Unusually hot dry spells for the time of year, freezing nights and a day or two of wind too. Pick off the damaged leaves, and spray the plant with a fungicide just in case there is some sort of fungal disease as well. Don't compost the leaves, throw them in the bin, and collect any fallen leaves also.

Frost damage maybe? Doesn’t look terminal

Thanks. I'm really enjoying gardening but haven't a clue what I'm doing! I planted 3 at the same time and this has always been the healthiest one. None of the other two have the same problem but are in different parts of the garden. One of them definitely doesn't look too good though. And I thought they grew just about anywhere!

Newly planted shrubs need lots of water in their first season. TheY need to get their roots well into the ground. After that they will be fine.

Have you pruned it yet ? Buddleia need pruning hard in Spring. You can do it as late as May though it will flower later.

I've had leaves like this and just cut them off. There is a caterpillars very specific to buddleias that make the leaves curl. Very pretty though
