Wondering if there is anyone else in Scotland or somewhere rather dull with weather who has a rattan sofa set?! We just got one today and the faff to put the cover on is ridiculous so I’m thinking that will just be when we put it away for winter. Do you just take the cushions off when it rains? (which also will be annoying with how randomly and often it rains here Grin) Also if they have been caught in the rain now long will they take to dry?

Hey yeh we have a set. It’s a table and chairs rather than sofa set but the premise is the same. We always bring the cushions in when it rains, in fact we only take them out when we are going to use the chairs. This unfortunately means I don’t know how long they would take to dry if left out. Re the cover we used to put it on every night but it’s been a faff so the set (minus cushions) has been out in the rain and seems fine but will need a wipe down with a surface wipe before using again.

@LouiseTrees Thanks for getting back to me! Yeah the cover really is a faff, I’m glad to hear the rest of the furniture has been fine. I think we will just have to do the same with our cushions.

Like if it’s really really buckets it though then maybe get the cover out. You know that almost torrential ( or as my husband calls it “smurry”) rain.
