Is it all coming from that stem in the middle of the bed, or is that something different?

Could we have more of a close-up of the leaves, please?

The bushy plant is by us sempervirens, commonly known as box. The other plant looks like a rose, but the photo isn’t clear enough.

I think we need more photos. If the hedge-like thing is separate from the stem, then it could be box, but it could also be one of the small-leaved shrubby honeysuckles.

Young rowan trees have a brownish look to their twigs and trunk, ash trees have a more greyish look.
