Evergreen plants in wooden planter ideas

Hi
I have a couple of long wooden planters at the front of the house which has been sitting empty for a long time as I haven’t been able to decide what to plant in them.
My wish list is
No fruit or veg due to it being at the front of house.
Something every green due to it being at the front of house
Very low maintenance living in long wooden planters due to not having green fingers
Cheap to buy due to lack of funds

Any ideas?

Pelargoniums in mixed colours look amazing and are very low maintenance.

Euonymous, hebe, summer and winter heather are my choice. If you can get to Wilko they have great value plants. For a splash of colour, I,would plant nasturtium and let them seed so that you don’t have to,replant next year. These are all low growing and easy maintenance. Just give them a trim when necessary.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I like the look of heather, so I will look into that a bit more. I already have soil in the planters so I think I need to find out if it’s acidic or alkaline, then I’ll try and source some plants where I can.
