Ranunculus tubers

A friend bought me a pot from Waitrose. I fear I may have killed them.
The instructions said to part fill the pot with compost and wet it. Add soaked tubers and cover.
Then there were somewhat confusing instructions about whether to water or not. Having googled it looks like in fact they should be left dry now to grow.
But of course having googled I realised I'd planted them upside down! So I've had the whole lot out, tipped them upside down and reassembled.
What now? Do you think they will actually grow without watering now? They're inside in a sunny window.

Well you’ve just informed me why, out of 6 I planted in the garden, only one is growing. I didnt even read the pack, just stuck the little dried up things in soil Grin
I would assume, as with other bulbs & seedlings, you shouldn’t let the soil dry out, they will need water to help them grow -but I didn’t even plant them right so......
