Are you bothering with containers/flowers this year?

I'm a total container garden, but have decided, apart from a 99p packet of seeds I bought in February, I'm not going to bother with flower pots this year. I've got about 25 pots and 10 have got something perennial that look like they're going to come back ok.

I've got a few veg plants on the go from seed, so I'm going to try growing tomatoes, lettuce and squash instead in them.

Are you bothering with colourful pots this year ?

I am, although not as I originally planned. I have about 10 overwintered geraniums that I potted up today and three Fuchsias.
I’ve also sown loads of flower seeds to put in containers. As long as it looks bright and cheerful.

Well I'm no gardener because I just left my geraniums in their pots outside. They've definitely got new growth on them. I am south coast though - don't think we had one hard frost this winter.

Might as well won’t have to bother arranging someone to look after them as have several holidays to cancel

Absolutely, even more than usual as I'm here to look after them and having a nice garden to enjoy is more important as we can't go anywhere else.

Definitely - I only have a very tiny garden (front and back) so most of my activity is with pots. Our local nursery have started delivering so I managed to get some summer bedding to keep indoors and in the cold frame - not exactly the colour scheme I was after but still gratefully received.

I've got lots. Limited choice in colours but I'm just grateful for any colour! I think it will be cheerful and make the garden nicer for lockdown. I did do a couple of pots by front door but that felt a bit weird as no-one is going in and out. I must remember to water them!
