Just clearing out some magazines and found this plant but the article is more about the fencing.

I think it is hemerocallis, also called day Lily.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 19/04/2020 15:53

I’m not sure it’s day lilies. Ours don’t look quite the same.

bettybattenburg · 19/04/2020 15:59

Crocsemia ?

Letsnotargue · 19/04/2020 16:00

I can’t zoom in on my phone, but they might be crocosmia.

bettybattenburg · 19/04/2020 16:00

Or even Crocosmia if I learn to spell it.

Desperatelyseekingreason · 19/04/2020 16:27

It looks like it might be a grass to me, perhaps Hakonechloa I'm not sure if this link will work www.gardenia.net/plant-variety/hakonechloa-macra-hakone-grass

I think @Desperatelyseekingreason has it. Now to order!

Those look like leaves coming off a long stem, rather than leaves going all the way back to the ground, so that rules out red hot poker, crocosmia etc. So yes to a grass.
