What to plant in an east-facing shaded bed?

Just that, really! Due to some fence work and clearance, we now have an east-facing bed ready for planting (assuming we can get any suitable plants over the next few weeks - so open to suggestions for bulbs to plant in the autumn, etc). It’s about 5m by 1m. Fairly shaded - if it gets sun, it will be v early in the day.

I have no idea what to plant in it! Any suggestions? I’m assuming most fruit and veg would need more sun? Flowers would be nice but it’s not the most visible spot so it doesn’t have to be anything particularly eye-catching, though colour would be good.

Any thoughts?

Crainsbill geraniums grow pretty much anywhere and there’s a good variety. Astrantia are quite forgiving in this spot. Some roses don’t mind shade.
For spring, primulas, grape hyacinths, and Pulmonaria would well.

Thank you! Does anyone else have any suggestions?
