Hi
I am subject to medical instructions to fully self isolate hence although I am very tempted to try to travel to my nearest supermarket to see what (limited) gardening supplies they might have in stock I do not dare. In the context of the lock down I am looking at my small back garden and would like to do some planting.
It is a fenced in small back garden as you stand with the house behind you looking at the garden there is a flower bed on the right and lawn with a high and slightly unkempt laylandi hedge at the back and some patio for a shed (which is old and needs maintenance!) and an adjacent patio for table and chairs. Then on the left is a small flower bed and two trees.

The lawn takes me about 20 mins - 30 mins to mow with a flymo.
The sun hits in the afternoon and goes from (predominantly) the back right of the garden swinging over to the back left of the garden.

The left hand side flower bed currently has three adjacent clematis pinned up to three trellises on the fence and the bed has random daffodils and tulips (not many) from when I quickly planted some bulbs at the end of autumn.

Please could you recommend
(1) an online garden delivery company who I can order from and who you know will deliver in the next few days so next week I could get on with some proper weeding and planting in the flower bed.

(2) What perennial plants or shrubs you recommend I plant? I am clueless but I do want something which comes back each year and has some colour or attracts bees or something like that?

I would also need to order some kind of compost as I only have one indoor potting grow bag and I would need something to put down before planting any plants I buy.

Can you recommend any online firm which you know might deliver in the next few days if I ordered and paid today?

Many thanks

Hi there! I'm a complete novice so can't answer advice on planting but I have been in touch with 'martins nurseries' in Northern Ireland who are using a courier to deliver plants. Not too sure where you are but an option if they deliver uk wide.

Thanks for your reply - I am in Buckinghamshire England - do you happen to know whether they are currently delivering to the UK? Any information much appreciated.

Might be worth checking your local garden centres and seeing if any of them are delivering.

bubble that has the potential to be so lovely!

I think you should start a new thread asking for advice on what to do with your garden/where to start on a makeover .
