I've spent the day working in my garden

Which is something I used to do a lot when I worked less but lately gardening has only amounted trying to keep things tidy.

In the spirit of Every Cloud I thought I'd work on some garden projects while I'm at home but is shopping for plants and garden materials considered essential?

That sounds lovely. Unfortunately shopping for garden stuff isn't essential

Phone your local garden centre - many of them are closed to the public but are doing a delivery service. You order and pay by phone, they deliver what you want.

I've ordered most of the things I need from Sutton's mail order. There are other online sites too.

The garden centre I usually use is doing a delivery service, orders over £30 but that's easily done.

Maybe I'll call my garden centre then. I really need more compost!
