How to care for a tillandsia in a jar

I have been given a gift of a tillandsia in a jar. Its corked. I read how to care for it but it said air plants need soaking in a bowl of water every two weeks then drying off on kitchen roll but mine seems attached to the jar.

Should I just mist it? How often? I am guessing the cork is for humidity but should I uncork sometimes?

Do they need feeding and how?

Thanks

Airplants absorb their moisture through the leaves - they are covered in tiny scales which are absorbent, so misting is the way to go, but it must be with rainwater which doesn't contain the various chemicals of tap water. I don't know how often you need to do this, as I've never grown one in a jar, but maybe once a week? The cork will retain the humidity, so it shouldn't need more frequent misting.
You can buy airplant food from good garden centres, which comes in a mister bottle, but wouldn't need to be more than a few times per year.
